How to use of 茶の湯釜 Iron Tea Pot・鉄瓶 Iron Kettle
1. Before using
A body is baked to finish coating with 本漆 lacquer on special oxidant film in order to stop lusting, so that smell is strange a little.
To take off the smell, it needs to put water and 8 to 10 pierces of ginger into a kettle, then, boil it. The smell will go away by boiling it a few times in the same way.
Don't worry if there are a few red-brown spots left inside a pot through using many times.
Time passed, you can enjoy mild, tasty and sweet hot water with rich minerals.

2. Maintenance after using

When using an electric oven, Don't forget turning it off. Especially, don't heat an empty pot, it leads to melt lacquer inside a kettle which causes water to get cloudy and to leak water.
Don't wash with polishing powder, sand or a metal brush.
Outside a pot, it's already finished covering with Lacquer, it is enough only to wipe with dry cloth which can add natural luster.
